Drain cleaning and sewer line repair in Austin
We clear the clog, then show you on camera why it happened. That way you pay to fix the cause once, not the symptom every few months.
Is it one drain or the main line?
If only one sink or tub is slow, the clog is usually close to that fixture: hair, soap, grease or a lost toy. If you notice two or more of the signs below, the problem is probably in the main sewer line that carries everything out to the street:
- Several drains slow at the same time
- Toilets gurgle when the washing machine drains
- Water comes up in the shower when you flush
- A sewage smell in the yard or near the cleanout
- Soggy, extra-green patches of lawn over the sewer line
How we clear drains
Cable and auger
For most fixture clogs, a cable machine breaks through the blockage and brings it back out. It is fast and gentle on older pipes.
Hydro-jetting
For grease build-up or roots in a main line, a high-pressure water jet scours the pipe walls clean. We only recommend jetting after a camera shows the pipe is sound enough for it.
Camera inspection
A waterproof camera on a flexible line travels through the pipe while you watch on the screen. You see roots, offsets, belly sags and cracks for yourself, and you can keep the video.
Sewer repair options
When the camera shows real damage, we explain each fix in plain terms. A spot repair replaces one broken section. Trenchless lining creates a new pipe inside the old one through a small access pit. A full replacement makes sense when the line is sagging along its length. We also add a cleanout if your home doesn’t have one, so future clogs are quicker and cheaper to clear.
Why Austin sewer lines fail
Live oak and cedar elm roots hunt for moisture and find their way into old joints. Clay soil moves with the seasons and can shift pipe sections out of line. Older homes may still have cast-iron or clay pipe that has simply worn out. Kitchen grease does the rest.
